About Us
Carroll County Wabash & Erie Canal is a nonprofit devoted to preservation, education, and recreation. Located just north of historic downtown Delphi, Canal Park preserves the only remaining publicly accessible and navigable portion of the Wabash & Erie Canal. This incredible engineering feat once stretched from Toledo, Ohio to Evansville, Indiana and was the second-longest canal ever built in the world.
Today, Canal Park is a community space that has been a labor of love for many residents of Carroll County and beyond. The organization offers numerous services and amenities, including:
•	Reception hall rental for weddings, meetings, and other events
•	RV and tent camping
•	Airbnb cabins
•	Group and school tours
•	Canal boat rides during summer months
•	An award-winning museum devoted to Indiana's Canal Era
•	Tours of the restored 1850's Reed Case House
•	Historic trades classes
•	Public festivals and events
•	Over ten miles of walking trails with educational panels throughout
•	Picnic shelters and outdoor recreational space
•	Replica canal boat playground
•	On-site historical archives for Indiana canal history
